COACHING STYLE, COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES AND EXPECTATIONS
What you can expect from me.
After completion of this questionnaire and submission of a non-refundable payment of $50, an initial consultation to explore what you hope to achieve by hiring a coach, specific goals, training history, availability to train, barriers and expectations will be scheduled. If both parties agree to pursue this coaching endeavor, your initial payment will be applied toward the cost of your coaching package.
A personalized one-month training program will be posted on Training Peaks (TP) at the agreed upon start date. Depending on the coaching package you select, workouts will be reviewed, analyzed with feedback provided and workouts adjusted daily, weekly or monthly. You and your coach will meet in person or virtually at the end of each month to discuss and review the training cycle, changes in fitness, barriers or challenges, and develop a plan for the next cycle to improve your fitness and passion for power through the pedal.
What is expected of you.
You will be required to set up a free basic TP athlete account. This is the mode of communication between athlete and coach. While emails and texts may also be used, TP is the first line of communication. It is crucial that both the athlete and the coach remain in communication via TP in order to adjust the training program.
It is expected that the athlete will make a concerted effort to complete the training program, make notes in TP on anything significant during their training session (cramped, knee pain while climbing, target too easy or hard), or provide a reason for missed workouts. There are metrics on TP that may be helpful for the athlete to record: weight, sleep, fatigue, sickness, soreness, injury, other notes. While these are not required, they are helpful for your coach to follow your overall status.
Payment is due at the start of your one-month training plan. You may select from any of the coaching packages, and upgrade or downgrade at the beginning of each one-month training cycle. You may choose to terminate your coaching agreement at any time. However, the monthly fee is non-refundable if you terminate the contract mid-cycle. Your training program can be modified to accommodate travel and vacations, but it is expected that your monthly fee will not be interrupted except for medical reasons.
Let the evolution of power through the pedal begin!
